7th-8th Grade Field Trip to

Abraham Lincoln: The Movie is on Friday, December 21st. Buses will leave campus at 9:15 AM. Cost of the field trip per student is $15 which includes the price of admission and bus fees. Students will return on campus for lunch. STUDENTS MUST WEAR TUESDAY/ THURSDAY UNIFORM.

MONEY FOR FIELD TRIP WILL BE DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 18 (TUESDAY).

We will not accept any payments after November 27th due to time sensitive pricing.

 UPDATE—-AS OF November 12, 2012, THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON 2012 HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!

This annual event is a way for BMI’s administrators, teachers and staff to show appreciation to the parents of our students for choosing us to educate their child. This two-day event , split to accommodate our growing school, is centered around the traditional Thanksgiving feel. We ask the parents that attend to bring a ready to serve dessert to share. The dessert request should be ready to serve as we do not have a method to warm or freeze outside food items. So that we can accommodate all that wish to attend, we hold online registration. Those who wish to attend MUST register online and bring a ticket to enter.

The BMI Performance Choir is preparing for the holiday season. The choir practice schedule for the month of November is listed below. All members are expected to make these rehearsal. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

Fees:

$35 uniform fee                  $2 choir binder         $10 lunch/ party fees

Ordering of the uniforms will be processed on Tuesday, November 6th.

First Singing engagment will be on November 15, 2012 at 11am for our Thanksgiving Students and Parent Luncheon.

A progres report is mid-way representation of the student’s grade for a class in a 9-week period. Progress Reports serve an important role in allowing teachers, students and parents to track how well the student does before the final grade is released on the student’s report card at the end of a 9- week period.  Progress reports gives students a chance to correct study habits, modify their behaviors and make other changes to keep themselves on a positive academic course.

Beatrice Mayes Institute Grading Scale is slightly different from HISD. Students entering our program will notice a small difference in the grade range.
