Student Council exemplifies democracy in action. It is a student government which offers students an opportunity to develop sound judgment, maturity, and leadership skills by taking an active role in issues that govern student life at BMI Charter School. Officers within each chapter are elected to manage the organization. These officers are assisted by members serving on committees and by staff members who act as advisors.
This organization provides a solid foundation in leadership training that prepares them for the demands and responsibilities needed for the future.
The Student Council also sponsors different events periodically during the school year, and works closely with the Coronation Ball, Black History Program, the Green and Gold 8th Grade Prom, and other campus events.
